We were tasked with digitally optimising and transforming a traditional cocktail recipe book with its best-accompanying dishes into a memorable interactive experience. Our client, Food52, wanted to creatively combine the agelessness of this popular content style with the interactability of modern tech and digital content.
Starting from the initial design mockups all the way to the final published piece, we incorporated elements of print into our design and crafted unique visuals and animations that maintained the feel of a real book with an impressive smooth flow between interactions.
With a deck of beautiful photography and videos, we ensured the rich visuals had additional value and created a piece that not only promotes the brand but also increases engagement and elevates the user experience.
We were really proud to learn that the visual experience was recognized as an honoree piece at the 2023 Webby Awards and was one of Food52's favourite pieces we've collaborated on so far. The finished experience not only exceeded expectations but by being globally recognised for the digital execution, it elevated it's engagement in the food culture and culinary world.
